Koalog Code CoverageTM

What is Koalog Code CoverageTM?

Rated JARS top 25%

Koalog Code CoverageTM is a code coverage computation application written in the JavaTMprogramming language. Koalog Code CoverageTM allows you to measure the efficiency of your tests suite, but also to discover dead code in your project.

In-process/remote coverage computation

Koalog Code CoverageTM is able to compute the code coverage of an application running either in the same or in a different JVM. The ability to compute the code coverage of an application running in a remote JVM makes the integration to an application server very simple.

No instrumentation

Because it does not need the code to be instrumented, Koalog Code CoverageTM works directly against the production binaries. Hence, the code coverage computation becomes a simple task that can be easily integrated into a more global procedure for code quality insurance.

Rich reporting

Koalog Code CoverageTM supports by default the following formats: text, CSV, LaTeX, HTML, XML. Koalog Code CoverageTM offers also the possibility to define custom reports.

Session merging

Koalog Code CoverageTM stores the code coverage results in sessions which are saved on disk and can be merged. Session merging is particularly interesting when one wants to compute an overall code coverage result for distinct executions of the same application: executions with different parameters, executions of different scenarii.

Ease-of-use

Besides its GUI, Koalog Code CoverageTM also comes with a command-line version which has been designed to easily replace java in shell-scripts. Moreover, Koalog Code CoverageTM integrates smoothly with Ant and JUnit.
